Chapter 4
Completing your onboarding tasks
Your first-week checklist — what each task type means, how to mark complete, and what HR sees.

Your checklist
My Stuff > My onboarding lists every task your HR admin set up for you, sorted by due date. Typical tasks include:
- Sign your employment contract
- Upload your right-to-work documents (passport, share code, visa)
- Upload your P45 from your previous employer
- Complete cyber-awareness training
- Read and acknowledge company policies
- Workstation setup
- Meet your manager / team
The 4 task types
Each task has a type that affects how you complete it:
manual
A plain checkbox. Click Mark complete when you've done the action (often described in the task notes).
e_sign
The system created an e-signature envelope and emailed you the link. Open the email or click the Sign now button on the task. The task auto-completes when you sign.
training
The task references a course (probably mandatory in your role). Complete the course through whatever LMS or external provider your HR uses, then record completion under L&D.
document_upload
The task requires a file (e.g. passport scan). Click Upload on the task, pick your file, submit. Task auto-completes.
Blocking vs non-blocking
Some tasks are marked blocking — your manager / HR considers these mandatory before you're "fully onboarded". Non-blocking tasks are reminders that don't hold up progression.
Due dates
Due dates are computed from your start date plus an offset (e.g. day 1 for "Sign your contract", day 7 for "Complete cyber training"). Overdue tasks show in red.
What HR sees
Your HR admin can see the status of every task on your profile but cannot see what you've typed in any notes you've added unless they're privately sharing the task. Documents you upload go to your personal documents under the correct type — they're visible to HR.
Asking for help
If something's unclear, click the floating chat bubble or email your HR admin directly. We'd rather you ask than guess.
