Check your balances

  1. My Stuff > My leave.
  2. Top of the page: your balances per policy (Annual, Sick, etc.) — current entitlement minus used.

Balances pro-rate to your start date (if mid-year) and to your contract hours (if part-time).

Request leave

  1. Click Request leave.
  2. Pick:
    • Policy — Annual / Sick / Unpaid / etc.
    • Start + End dates — the calendar disables already-booked days
    • Days — auto-calculated; override for half-days (e.g. enter 2.5)
    • Notes — optional, helpful for your manager
  3. Submit.

Status becomes pending. You'll receive an email when your manager (or HR) approves or rejects.

Cancel a pending request

Click the request > Cancel. The balance reservation is released immediately.

Cancel an approved request

Click the request > Request cancellation. Your manager has to confirm — once they do, the balance credits back.

Public holidays

Statutory bank holidays show as faded grey blocks on the calendar. If your booking spans one, that day is NOT debited from your balance — the system skips it automatically.

If you're on a regional override (e.g. Scottish in an England-default team), the bank holiday calendar uses your override.

Statutory leave (maternity, paternity, sick pay, etc.)

These are different — they involve qualifying-week calculations and payments through payroll. Your HR admin opens these on your behalf via the Statutory leave surface. Get in touch with them when you need to open one.

Team calendar

The Team tab shows colleagues' approved leave (dates only, no notes). Useful for "is anyone else off that week?" planning.
