Adding a record

  1. Open the employee detail page > L&D tab.
  2. Click Add training record.
  3. Fill in:
    • Course name — pick from mandatory-training dropdown OR type free-text
    • Provider — internal / external (vendor name)
    • Completion date — when they finished
    • Expiry date — when this training expires (if relevant, e.g. 1 year for cyber awareness, 3 years for first aid)
    • Certificate — file upload (PDF / image)
    • Cost — optional, drives the training budget rollup
  4. Save.

Why expiry matters

The Expiring soon filter shows training records about to lapse — useful for ensuring compliance stays current.

If the course is mapped to a mandatory training definition, the employee's compliance status auto-updates when their certificate expires.

Linking to mandatory training

If you've defined mandatory courses under Growth > Learning & Development > Mandatory training, picking the matching course name from the dropdown auto-links the record. The compliance check then knows this employee has fulfilled this requirement.

Free-text course names (no link to a mandatory definition) are tracked but don't count toward compliance.

Bulk import

Not yet. If you're onboarding L&D for a team of 50 existing employees, contact support — we'll bulk-import via CSV.

Coming soon — LMS integration

Direct integration with Moodle, Learnupon, etc. is on the roadmap. Once wired, completed courses in the LMS auto-create training records in HR — no manual entry needed.
