FAQ

How do I run a performance review?

Performance > Cycles > New cycle. Pick the type (annual, mid-year, probation, 360), assign employees, set the timeline, then employees and managers complete reviews from the Performance page.

Run a review cycle

  1. Open Growth > Performance.
  2. Click New cycle.
  3. Choose the review type: annual, mid_year, probation, or 360.
  4. Set start and end dates.
  5. Bulk-create reviews by selecting employees (or all active employees). One row per employee is created with their manager auto-set as reviewer.
  6. Employees fill in their self-assessment from My reviews; managers fill in the manager assessment from Performance.
  7. Once both sides are submitted, the review can be acknowledged and (optionally) calibrated.

360° feedback

For a 360 cycle, after creation:

  1. Configure the cycle (Performance > Cycle detail > 360° config): nomination mode (manager-driven or employee-nominate), min peer/upward reviewers, anonymise-below threshold.
  2. Add nominations (peer, upward, downward).
  3. Reviewers fill in feedback from My feedback.
  4. The subject sees an anonymised rollup once they've acknowledged their manager review (DMARC-style — sub-threshold buckets are suppressed).

Calibration

Optional but valuable. Managers lock their direct reports' ratings, then senior leaders run cross-manager calibration sessions to normalise distributions. Lock → override → close session writes a permanent audit trail.
