Creating a performance review cycle

Growth > Performance > New cycle. Pick type (annual, mid_year, probation, 360), set the timeline, and bulk-create one review per employee.

Create a review cycle

  1. Open Growth > Performance.
  2. Click New cycle.
  3. Fill in:
    • Name — e.g. "Annual review 2026"
    • Typeannual, mid_year, probation, or 360
    • Start date — when reviews open for self-assessment
    • End date — when reviews close (acknowledged)
    • Status — starts as draft; change to active to open
  4. Click Save.

Bulk-create reviews

After creating the cycle, click Activate cycle > Bulk create reviews. The system writes one review per active employee with their manager auto-set as reviewer.

For annual / mid_year / probation types — that's it. Each row gets filled in by employee (self-assessment) + manager (manager assessment).

Acknowledgement

Once both sides have submitted, the manager + employee meet (off-system) and acknowledge the review from the detail page. Acknowledgement is what unlocks the calibration workflow and the subject-visible 360 rollup.
