Configure a 360 cycle

  1. Create a cycle with type=360 (see Creating a performance review cycle).
  2. Open the cycle detail page > 360° config tab.
  3. Set:

Config fields

  • Nomination modemanager (admins/managers choose reviewers for each subject) or employee_approve (employees nominate, manager approves)
  • Min peer reviewers — typically 3
  • Min upward reviewers — typically 1 (direct manager)
  • Anonymise-below — threshold below which feedback in a bucket (peer/upward/downward) is suppressed in the subject's rollup. Default 3 — protects identity when there are few reviewers in a relationship.

Add nominations

From the Nominations tab, add reviewer ↔ subject pairs:

  • Peer — same level, cross-team
  • Upward — the subject's reports
  • Downward — the subject's manager (typically already on the main review)
  • Self — auto-created when activating

For manager nomination mode, nominations auto-approve. For employee_approve, they enter as proposed and need manager approval.

Reviewers fill in

Approved nominations appear on the reviewer's My feedback > Incoming page. Reviewers fill in strengths, development areas, ratings (per cycle config), and an overall comment.

Subject rollup

After the subject acknowledges their manager review, the Feedback aggregate view shows:

  • Counts by relationship (e.g. "3 peers, 1 upward")
  • Average ratings per dimension with sample size
  • Free-text comments (only from buckets ≥ anonymise-below)

Buckets below threshold are suppressed entirely — both ratings AND comments — to prevent triangulation back to individuals.
