Sector Templates

Choose an industry template to pre-configure categories and accounts.

What it does

Sector Templates tailor Blankitt Finance to your industry by adding relevant categories, chart of accounts entries, and report defaults. Templates include Construction, E-commerce, Freelancer, Hospitality, Non-profit, and Ltd company structures.

How to use it

  1. Go to Settings and select Sector Templates
  2. Browse available templates and select one that matches your business
  3. Click Preview to see what will change (accounts, categories, report settings)
  4. Click Apply to activate the template

Tips

  • Switching templates archives accounts and categories not in the new template. Your data is preserved.
  • You can apply a template at any time, not just during setup.
  • Templates add industry-specific categories (e.g. "CIS Deductions" for Construction, "Shipping Costs" for E-commerce).
  • If no template fits perfectly, start with the closest one and customise via the Chart of Accounts.
  • Only one template can be active at a time.
