The Company section — overview
Cap table & company structure: statutory s113 / s162 / s790 registers, share classes, share transactions.
What it is
The Company section is where Blankitt keeps the statutory and governance records every UK limited company must maintain. It groups three statutory registers required by the Companies Act 2006:
- Register of Members (s113) — who owns shares
- Register of Directors (s162) — who runs the company
- Register of PSCs (s790) — who has significant control
Plus a working Cap Table view that turns the share-holding data into a snapshot of ownership percentages.
When you'll see it
Company appears in the sidebar only when:
- Your account type is Business (Sole Trader / Business / Multi / Group plans), AND
- Your company type is set to
Limited Companyin Settings → Company Profile
Sole traders, partnerships, and personal accounts never see Company — sole traders don't issue shares, and the statutory registers don't apply.

Where to start
If your company is already registered at Companies House, start by:
- Adding your share classes (most companies need only one Ordinary class)
- Admitting each shareholder
- Issuing shares to each, matching what was filed at incorporation
- Appointing each current director
- Adding PSC entries (anyone with ≥25% shares / voting / influence)
The data then powers downloadable s113 / s162 / s790 PDFs you can hand to your accountant or company secretary.
