Accountant Portal
Access and manage multiple clients' books from one account.

What it does
The accountant portal lets accountants and bookkeepers access their clients' Blankitt Finance accounts without needing separate logins. Switch between clients from the sidebar and view their books, reports, invoices, and tax data.
For accountants: getting access
- Sign up for Blankitt Finance at finance.blankitt.com (free — you need your own account first)
- Ask your client to invite you — they go to Settings → Users → Invite and enter your email with the "Accountant" role
- Accept the invite — check your email, click the link, and sign in to your Blankitt account
- You're in — the client appears in your sidebar under "Clients"
For business owners: inviting your accountant
- Go to Settings → Users
- Click Invite User
- Enter your accountant's email and select the Accountant role
- They'll receive an email to accept — once they do, they can see your books
Switching between clients
- Look for the client dropdown in the sidebar (briefcase icon)
- Select "Your Books" to view your own account, or click a client name to view theirs
- An amber banner appears at the top confirming which client you're viewing
- Click "Back to your books" in the banner to return
What accountants can do
- View all financial data (Dashboard, transactions, invoices, contacts, reports)
- Post transactions and record payments
- Run reports (P&L, balance sheet, aged debtors/creditors, forecast)
- View tax estimates and CT600 data
What accountants cannot do
- Change company settings or profile
- Invite or manage other users
- Create or delete entities
- Delete data
Tips
- The amber banner always shows which client you're viewing
- Each client appears automatically after you accept their invitation
- Reports and data are completely isolated between clients
